Imagine living in a developing country as a young girl, without essential hygienic supplies and feminine hygiene products to properly clean yourself. The Days For Girls organization is working hard to supply necessary items to these young girls all over the world and doTERRA Essential Oils is helping to assist through financial contributions, delivery services and hosting classes that teach these women proper hygienic habits.

Days For Girls quickly realized that without sanitary supplies, women and young girls were missing school, work and other important day-to-day tasks. They found that the women were using anything they could find to clean themselves, from leaves to mattress stuffing to cornhusks and anything in between. Every year, these girls were missing approximately two months of school due to the lack of feminine hygiene products. Additionally, they were suffering through infections such as Urinary Tract Infections and Yeast Infections, due to a lack of sanitary items. They would often suffer for months. Days For Girls wanted to change that.

About Days For Girls

Days For Girls started creating kits for young girls to bring with them to school. Each kit includes a variety of items that help the young women properly clean themselves and sanitary products that can be washed and reused throughout their menstrual cycle. The kits are sent in a trendy cloth bag that helps break shame and stigma.

The Days For Girls organization has helped countless women in over 85 countries and on 6 continents, including the United States. They have helped and educated women on how to properly use their kits. With chapters all over the world working towards sewing and building these kits, doTERRA decided they wanted to help, as well. Chapters can donate a kit by either making it themselves or simply donating the funds.

doTERRA’s Involvement

doTERRA representatives are constantly travelling internationally and have been delivering these feminine kits to many of their destinations, in need. While they are there, they provide educational classes on how to effectively use these kits. This is additional reason why I am so proud to promote and work with doTERRA Essential Oils. Their involvement through their Humanitarian Partnerships is unlike any other company I’ve worked with. They truly care about developing nations and assisting those in need.
